Project Manager - Construction & Contracting

About the role

An experienced, results-driven Project Manager is sought to lead the end-to-end planning, execution and delivery of civil and commercial construction projects in Dubai, UAE. Working on the contractor side, the role covers day-to-day site operations, administration of FIDIC-based main contracts and ensuring milestones are met on time, within budget and to the highest local safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from contract award through site execution, handover and final snagging.
• Develop and maintain project master programmes using Primavera P6 or MS Project, and coordinate site teams, engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Administer main contracts under standard FIDIC conditions used in UAE construction, and manage the budget, expenditure, variation orders and cost forecasting.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals, monitor their performance and manage EOT claims, variations and contractual correspondence.
• Review contracts, BOQs, technical specifications and drawings; oversee shop drawings, material approvals and mock-ups to avoid clashes.
• Implement strict QA/QC and HSE site practices in line with UAE Labour Law and company guidelines.
• Act as the main contact for clients, developers, consultants and executives, chair weekly progress meetings and handle permits, inspections and handover approvals with authorities such as Dubai Municipality, DEWA and the Dubai Civil Defense.
