Project Manager - Defence & Advanced Technology

About the role

EDGE Group, a leading advanced technology group focused on defence and emerging technologies, is looking for an experienced Project Manager through its entity Al Tariq. You will report to the Director, Projects and lead complex engineering and technology projects in a mission-critical environment, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget and quality. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages risks and supplier relationships, and keeps stakeholders informed.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor and close projects, developing scopes, objectives, schedules, budgets and resource plans
• Manage internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
• Track milestones, manage risks, issues, assumptions and change requests, and take corrective action
• Maintain project documentation such as plans, status reports, risk registers and requirements
• Build relationships with vendors and third-party suppliers and ensure compliance with quality, safety and organizational standards
• Use project management tools to track progress, costs and resource use, forecast requirements and support financial reporting
• Report performance and recommendations to senior management and customers, and drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defence or related fields
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a matrix organization
• English proficiency required

Required skills

• Project scheduling, project controls, budgeting and risk management
• Contract management and vendor/supplier management
• Microsoft Office; PMP, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certifications preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Project and experience with complex engineering development or manufacturing programs preferred
