Psychologist (Master's Degree) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Child Development Centre is seeking a qualified Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and treating psychiatric illnesses, supporting psychiatrists, and delivering preventive mental‑health care as part of an integrated program.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric interviews and collect diagnostic data.
• Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy.
• Apply behavioral methods for children and adults, planning session frequency, intensity and duration.
• Administer and interpret psychometric tests for diagnosis and therapy evaluation.
• Engage in research and educational activities to improve treatment methods.
• Offer advice to community organisations and participate in welfare activities.
• Respond to after‑hours or weekend calls for emergencies as required.
• Adhere to HAAD regulations, Joint Commission International norms, OSH and infection‑control policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognised university.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in clinical psychology.
• Current licensure in the country of origin and a valid HAAD licence to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Excellent oral and written English; Arabic is desirable but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of psychological testing instruments and medical ethics, including confidentiality obligations.
