Psychology Teacher – High School (Cycle 3)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICSchools) in Al Mushrif, Abu Dhabi, is looking for a qualified Psychology Teacher for Cycle 3 (Grades 9‑12). The successful candidate will deliver the American curriculum, foster critical thinking, and prepare students for higher education and global citizenship.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching license/certification for secondary education with a Psychology endorsement (US state or equivalent).
• 2‑3 years of full‑time high‑school Psychology teaching experience, preferably with the American curriculum.
• Experience with AP Psychology and a record of student success in AP exams is an advantage.
• Previous experience in an international school environment, especially in the UAE or Middle East, is desirable.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with special educational needs.
• Excellent classroom management.
• Commitment to collaborative planning and professional development.
• Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Use of interactive whiteboards and digital assessment tools.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret student data and inform differentiated instruction.
