Public Relations Officer – Labor Relations & Immigration

About the role

ABB is seeking a Public Relations Officer to manage labor‑relations and immigration matters for its UAE operations. You will act as the bridge between employees and management, ensuring smooth communication and compliance with local labour and visa regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage labour‑relations between staff and management, facilitating positive dialogue.
• Plan and organise union activities, meetings and related projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with authorities such as TECOM, DAFZA, JAFZA, MOHRE, GDRFA, DDA and others.
• Arrange and renew visas for expatriate employees and their families, handling Emirates ID and passport matters.
• Manage visa checklists, schedule medical exams, and coordinate with internal and external departments.
• Represent ABB at police stations, airports, hotels, embassies and consulates for document attestation.
• Respond to staff queries on visa, labour and passport issues and assist with general immigration inquiries.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in labour relations, immigration or related fields.
• Degree or diploma in business or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Existing connections with UAE authorities is an advantage.
