Purchase Officer – Trucks & Vehicles

About the role

Join NAFFCO as a Purchase Officer supporting the Trucks & Vehicles department. You will source truck and vehicle parts, negotiate with suppliers and ensure timely delivery for production and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requisitions from the Trucks & Vehicles department.
• Source automotive and vehicle‑related materials from local and international suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, prepare price and supplier comparisons and negotiate commercial terms.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery of parts, chassis components, mechanical, electrical and workshop consumables.
• Coordinate with technical teams to confirm specifications and quality standards.
• Manage both foreign and local purchase activities, including quotations, proforma invoices and shipment schedules.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive, trucks, commercial vehicles, heavy equipment or spare‑parts industry.
• Ability to handle multiple requirements and meet production deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP or procurement systems.
