Purchaser – Project Materials & Services

About the role

The Purchaser will support Emirates Electrical Engineering in sourcing, negotiating and delivering materials, equipment, subcontractors and services for high‑voltage, low‑voltage, solar and energy‑saving projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior purchasing staff in procuring materials, equipment hire, labour hire, sub‑contracts and services in line with company policies.
• Obtain, review and compare supplier quotes, place orders and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
• Maintain accurate purchase and inventory records, monitor supplier performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with divisional, project and site managers to understand material requirements and align procurement with project schedules.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and report them to management.
• Develop and sustain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to improve the purchasing experience.

Required profile

• Graduation in Commerce or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering; supply‑chain certification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of project‑materials purchasing experience in an electrical contracting environment dealing with high‑voltage, low‑voltage, solar or energy‑saving projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly the MM module; SAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
