QA/QC Engineer – Materials (Construction)

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Materials QA/QC Engineer to join its Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project materials meet contract specifications, standards, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Quality Management System and site‑level Quality Plans.
• Review contractor ITPs, method statements, subcontractor pre‑qualification documents and approve material submittals, mix designs and compliance certificates.
• Coordinate inspections, verify compliance with approved ITPs and sampling/testing plans, and ensure material traceability through delivery inspections and test certificates.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, quality records and hand‑over documentation.
• Monitor third‑party laboratory testing, support quality reporting and audits, and conduct site spot checks.
• Liaise with contractors and internal teams to resolve quality issues.

Required profile

• BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with relevant registration where applicable.
• 8–10 years of experience on major infrastructure, bridges, utilities or storm‑water projects, preferably in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong knowledge of material approval processes, specifications and testing.
• Familiarity with DMT/ADM requirements; DMT/TAQA approval preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with QA/QC reporting systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000, ASTM, ASME and ANSI standards.
