QC Engineer – Sheet Metal & Stainless Steel (Ex-Proof)

About the role

A company in Dubai is looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Engineer to develop, implement and maintain quality control processes for sheet metal and stainless steel fabrication. The role ensures strict compliance with international standards and hazardous area (Ex) requirements, and the holder has full authority to inspect, approve or reject raw materials, in-process fabrications and finished products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, establish and run quality control processes, inspection routines and physical/mechanical testing procedures for sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Coordinate compliance testing with third-party accredited laboratories for IECEx and ATEX certification.
• Approve or reject raw materials and finished products based on defined quality standards.
• Ensure products for explosive atmospheres are marked and labelled with Ex markings in line with IECEx/ATEX directives.
• Carry out root cause analysis on defects and non-conformities, implement corrective actions and prepare quality documentation and test reports.
• Work with fabrication and management teams to integrate quality control standards across operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, plus a Quality Management certification.
• Proven hands-on experience as a QC Engineer in sheet metal fabrication, including stainless steel.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Ex-proof requirements and QAN/QAR processes.
• Based in Dubai, UAE.
