Quality Manager – Healthcare

About the role

The Quality Manager leads the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the organisation's healthcare quality and patient safety systems. Working closely with clinical and non‑clinical teams, the role ensures compliance with regulations, accreditation standards and internal procedures while fostering a culture of quality excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the facility’s Quality Management System (QMS) and annual quality & patient safety plans.
• Establish quality objectives, indicators, targets and improvement priorities; manage controlled documents and version control.
• Lead patient safety initiatives, monitor incidents, conduct Root Cause Analyses and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Plan and execute annual clinical and operational audits, including medical record reviews, infection control, medication management and emergency preparedness.
• Prepare audit reports, track action plan closure and assess effectiveness of corrective measures.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality dashboards; analyse trends and present findings to senior management.
• Coordinate readiness for DHA inspections and support accreditation surveys such as JCI, CBAHI, ISO 9001.
• Conduct internal mock surveys, gap assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in healthcare quality and patient safety management.
• Familiarity with DHA requirements and international accreditation standards (JCI, CBAHI, ISO 9001).
• Strong knowledge of risk management, incident investigation, RCA and CAPA processes.
• Experience developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems and conducting clinical audits.
• Ability to analyse data, prepare dashboards and communicate performance to senior leadership.
