Quarry Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quarry Manager to lead daily quarry operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality production. The role involves balancing production output with sales demand, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily quarry activities, meeting production targets safely and on schedule.
• Coordinate with Sales and Commercial teams to align output with market requirements.
• Prepare and submit regular production, operational and performance reports.
• Manage quarry budgets, operating costs and resource utilization.
• Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental policies; conduct site inspections and risk assessments.
• Monitor extraction, crushing, screening and processing to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain equipment, machinery and vehicle readiness through timely procurement and maintenance.
• Lead, motivate and plan the quarry workforce.
• Collaborate with Mining Engineers to optimise resource extraction and efficiency.
• Identify and drive improvements to productivity and cost reduction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quarry, mining or production management.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of quarrying, extraction, crushing, screening and material processing.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations for industrial operations.
• Leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to analyse production data, monitor KPIs and manage budgets.
