Radiographer

About the role

The diagnostic radiographer performs a variety of imaging examinations—including X‑ray, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy—to support diagnosis and treatment planning under the supervision of a radiologist.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all radiological examinations for patients referred to the radiology department, including contrast studies for urinary and gastrointestinal tracts.
• Conduct CT and MR scans under senior radiographer supervision and operate portable/mobile X‑ray and C‑arm equipment for patients unable to be moved.
• Prepare and deliver examination reports, ensure images are uploaded to the Hospital PACS and provide CDs to patients.
• Maintain accurate entries in the Hospital Information System and adhere to safety, OSH and infection‑control procedures.
• Perform quality‑control checks on imaging equipment to guarantee optimal image quality.

Required profile

• Valid DOH license / exam pass as X‑ray/Radiography Technologist.
• Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Radiography or Imaging Technology.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a radiographer in a hospital or medical centre.
• Current UAE (HAAD) license to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Fluent spoken and written English; Arabic advantageous but not essential.
