Recovery Officer (UAE National)

About the role

The Recovery Officer will support the Collections department by managing sensitive documentation, monitoring settlement compliance, handling customer complaints, and ensuring regulatory adherence while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Contact 180+ delinquent clients to recover overdue payments and convert promises to pay into actual payments.
• Negotiate settlements with appropriate haircuts, facilitate restructuring, and implement repayment methods such as salary transfers.
• Meet monthly collection targets, resolve customer queries, handle disputes, and initiate legal action for high‑value uncooperative accounts.
• Monitor payment patterns, implement targeted settlement strategies, maintain skip‑tracing, and initiate credit control actions.
• Identify high‑risk cases, provide feedback on delinquency trends, and monitor portfolio quality indicators.

Required profile

• Minimum 2‑5 years experience in collections or debt management.
• Strong background in recovery processes and thorough knowledge of banking regulations.
• High school graduate; university degree (BA/BS) preferred.
• Written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.
• Professional certification in Collections/Recovery preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with credit control actions such as suspension or cancellation of facilities.
• Ability to follow prescribed call models, scripts, and maintain detailed documentation.
