Recovery & Returns Assistant – Retail

About the role

The Recovery & Returns Assistant supports the store’s recovery and quality processes, ensuring that returned, damaged or excess IKEA items are handled efficiently and profitably. Working on‑site at the Jebel Ali store, you will collaborate with multiple functions to give products a second life, minimise waste and uphold high customer‑service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect products from various store locations, including customer returns, damaged items, and transit cases, following standard operating procedures.
• Assess product condition and determine appropriate actions such as repackaging, selling as‑is in the Circular Hub, selling parts, allocating for internal spare parts, or disposal.
• Display and price items in the Circular Hub to create an attractive shopping experience for visitors.
• Provide product information, assembly guidance and spare‑part advice to customers.
• Conduct inventory counts and investigations in the Circular Hub, reporting discrepancies to the Recovery Group Leader.
• Coordinate with store functions to ensure smooth item flow, maximise profit and maintain compliance with recovery methods.
