Registered Nurse II – Women Urgent Care

About the role

The Urgent Care Nurse in a women’s hospital provides rapid, patient‑centered care for women presenting with acute, non‑life‑threatening obstetric and gynecological conditions. The role involves swift assessment, triage, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely intervention while maintaining patient dignity and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and assessment of urgent obstetric and gynecological cases.
• Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, including fetal heart rate monitoring (CTG) when required.
• Provide emergency nursing care for vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, early pregnancy complications, and postpartum concerns.
• Assist physicians and midwives with emergency procedures and examinations.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments safely.
• Recognize patient deterioration and initiate emergency protocols.
• Coordinate care with obstetricians, gynecologists, anesthetists, and laboratory services.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, follow‑up care, and warning signs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to infection‑control policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid UAE nursing license (DOH/DHA/MOH).
• Experience in emergency gynecology cases.

Required skills

• Fetal heart rate monitoring (CTG).
• IV therapy and medication administration.
• Emergency triage and protocol activation.
• Rapid assessment of obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
