Registered Nurse – Operating Theatre

About the role

Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Operating Theatre team. The role involves delivering patient‑centred, evidence‑based nursing care in a fast‑paced surgical environment while upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care in collaboration with surgeons, anaesthetists and the multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor and safeguard patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing clinical risks in accordance with hospital policies and UAE legislation.
• Facilitate positive patient experiences by creating a supportive and comfortable operating room environment.
• Mentor and coach junior staff and nursing students, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificates.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in the candidate’s home country.
• Preferably three years of recent experience assisting with major surgeries such as general surgery, urology, obstetrics‑gynecology, laparoscopic, ENT or related specialties.
• UAE experience is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of patient safety standards.
• Basic Arabic language ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
