Registered Nurse - OT

About the role

Royal Khalifa City Hospital Abu Dhabi is hiring a Registered Nurse (OT). The nurse works within their scope of practice, putting the health, wellbeing and safety of patients first, and provides and coordinates patient care while educating patients and the public about health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' needs, then implement and monitor their medical plan and treatment with physicians and other specialists
• Perform systematic patient assessments, analyse the data, define nursing diagnoses and create care plans with the interprofessional team
• Record vital signs, recognise and escalate abnormalities, and maintain clinical and technical nursing skills
• Perform essential life support such as BLS, PALS, ACLS and neonatal resuscitation
• Administer medications, IV fluids and blood products, and provide wound care and assist in procedures
• Facilitate safe patient admission, transfer and discharge

Required profile

• Valid license to work as a registered nurse in the relevant health authority, with all required qualifications and experience
• Owns their own professional re-licensure
• Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support card
• Willingness to work across departments when necessary
• Clear spoken and written English; Arabic communication is desirable

• Evidence of working in an inter-professional team
• Ability to use the electronic medical record platform for clinical documentation
• Effective Arabic communication
