Registered Nurse - Patient Care Coach

About the role

Manzil Healthcare Services is hiring a Registered Nurse in Abu Dhabi to act as a Patient Care Coach. The nurse provides compassionate, empathetic guidance to help patients manage the impact of their condition and receive treatment effectively, complementing the care given by the patient's own healthcare team. The role involves regular face-to-face and telephone contact, building rapport and supporting patients' personal challenges and needs.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce the Patient Care Coach role to physicians and obtain their consent to contact patients for education, follow-up and health information.
• Obtain patient consent to teach self-injection, follow up on health status and treatment outcomes, and update physicians periodically.
• Capture patient details from face-to-face and telephone interactions in the programme CRM system, including scheduled contacts and ad hoc queries.
• Keep patient data private and confidential, and update each physician regularly on their patients' condition, side effects, compliance and concerns.
• Educate patients, parents and families about the disease, medication use, storage and administration, and encourage regular check-ups.
• Provide tailored psychological and behavioural support, emotional support and therapy adherence coaching.
• Manage and report adverse events and safety risks according to local pharmacovigilance procedures.
• Advise patients not to change therapy or doses without consulting their physician, explain third-party payer procedures where applicable, and remind them of refill dates and appointments.
• Provide injections and nursing care when required, and submit monthly aggregate adherence data to the direct manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a valid DOH nursing licence in the UAE.
• At least 2 years of experience in health education or a similar role.
• Bilingual Arabic and English.
