Regulatory Affairs Manager – Enterprise Compliance (UAE Nationals)

About the role

Join HSBC’s Regulatory Affairs team in Dubai to manage regulatory engagement and monitor developments across the UAE. You will ensure regulatory requirements are understood, communicated and addressed, supporting a “no surprises” relationship with regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Support relationships with UAE regulators such as the DFSA, Central Bank, SCA and FSRA.
• Prepare and follow‑up on regulatory meetings, inspections, investigations and information requests.
• Produce briefing notes, reports and management information for senior stakeholders.
• Maintain records of regulatory engagements and emerging themes.
• Monitor pending regulatory changes and communicate updates across the bank.
• Assist with assessment of regulatory changes, consultation responses and hand‑off to risk and business teams.
• Generate compliance reports, MI packs, newsletters and other regulatory communications.
• Identify and escalate operational risks, supporting audit and regulatory finding resolution.

Required profile

• 2–5 years’ experience in risk, compliance or regulatory affairs within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulators, their agendas and regulatory approaches.
• Experience managing senior internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent analytical, communication, influencing and organisational skills.
• Fluent written and verbal English and Arabic.
• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law or related field; relevant accounting or corporate secretary qualifications are a plus.
