Regulatory Compliance Manager (12‑month rolling contract)

About the role

The Manager – Regulatory Compliance supports the Head of Regulatory Compliance in ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements outside of Financial Crime Compliance. This 12‑month rolling contract role is based in Sharjah and focuses on regulatory assurance, CBUAE liaison and FATCA/CRS programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regulatory assurance activities, review assessment outcomes and drive remediation with business owners.
• Coordinate CBUAE examinations, manage regulatory correspondence, submissions and reporting.
• Provide senior advisory support on regulatory interpretation, impact analysis and implementation.
• Oversee FATCA and CRS compliance, including annual reporting and data validation.
• Guide Regulatory Officers, produce weekly dashboards and support governance committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; professional compliance qualifications (e.g., ACAMS) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years banking/financial services experience, with at least 5 years in regulatory compliance.
• Prior audit or legal experience (2 years) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of CBUAE regulations and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with FATCA and CRS compliance programmes.
• Familiarity with Regulatory Management Systems (RMS) for assessments.
