Regulatory Compliance Officer

About the role

Bureau Veritas is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer in Dubai. The role monitors regulatory developments affecting the company's operations, with particular focus on the fuels, oil and energy sectors, and supports the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess regulatory developments affecting the company's operations, focusing on the fuels, oil and energy sectors.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Carry out risk-based due diligence and screening of clients, counterparties and other business relationships in line with legal requirements and internal policies.
• Assess regulatory and compliance risks from proposed and ongoing activities and give practical guidance to stakeholders.
• Identify, document and escalate compliance concerns following established procedures.
• Support regulatory risk assessments, compliance monitoring, internal reviews and audits.
• Develop and deliver compliance awareness initiatives and training.
• Track changes in regulatory requirements and help implement the right internal controls.
• Maintain sanctions registers, review records, escalation logs and supporting documentation.
• Prepare compliance assessments, risk summaries and recommendations for the Legal Counsel and Risk & Compliance Manager, and escalate material or complex sanctions issues with analysis and recommended actions.
