Relationship Manager - Manufacturing

About the role

Commercial Bank of Dubai is looking for a Relationship Manager Manufacturing to manage institutional banking relationships in coordination with the Head of Institutional Banking. The role covers maintaining and growing an assigned portfolio of existing institutional clients, acquiring new ones and managing credit lines, with a focus on manufacturing clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage an assigned portfolio of existing institutional clients to retain and grow their banking relationships profitably, in line with business growth targets.
• Identify, solicit and acquire new institutional clients in line with approved strategies for assets, liabilities, trade and treasury sales.
• Negotiate credit lines in line with the bank's underwriting standards and risk-adjusted targets, after preparing a detailed credit proposal.
• Visit clients regularly to monitor and generate business, recording visits in call reports.
• Plan accounts with the Client Service Team, cross-sell products and refer business to Wealth and Consumer Banking.
• Ensure timely and accurate credit administration through annual reviews and regular monitoring of financials and covenants.
• Manage a team of Support Officers, set and measure annual targets, advise, train and motivate them, and conduct performance reviews.
• Comply with internal audit requirements and contribute to corporate business strategy planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Finance or Business Management, or CFA / CA.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in institutional banking, including 3 to 5 years in the UAE (preferably with manufacturing clients).
• Ideally exposure to one or more emerging markets.
• Strong commercial acumen, ability to prepare plans and strategies, and to build close relationships with external parties as a senior bank representative.
