Research Faculty – Healthy & Sustainable Built Environment

About the role

The Healthy and Sustainable Built Environment Research Center at Ajman University’s Deanship of Research and Graduate Studies is seeking a full‑time faculty member (Research Assistant, Associate Professor or Professor) to lead high‑impact research and teaching in construction‑related disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervise graduate theses.
• Conduct cutting‑edge research in construction and construction management, publishing in high‑impact, Scopus‑indexed Q1 journals and presenting at international conferences.
• Develop and submit research grant proposals, securing external funding to support the centre’s activities.
• Engage with university, community and professional service, collaborating with industry partners and governmental bodies.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on Construction and Construction Management.
• Strong publication record in Q1 journals.
• Experience in obtaining and managing external research grants (highly desirable).
• Prior university‑level teaching and student supervision experience.
• Ability to work on interdisciplinary research projects.
