Reservation Agent

About the role

The Meydan Hotel is seeking a Reservation Agent to manage guest booking inquiries, provide accurate room information, and ensure reservations are recorded precisely. The role supports guest satisfaction through efficient communication and high‑quality service in a dynamic, luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle all incoming calls and reservation inquiries, providing clear information on room types, rates, promotions, and hotel facilities.
• Enter reservation details accurately into the OPERA property management system and issue confirmation or cancellation numbers.
• Upsell rooms and hotel outlets, recommend alternative dates or sister properties when fully booked, and maximize revenue opportunities.
• Coordinate with Concierge, Housekeeping, Front Office, and Restaurant Reservations to ensure seamless guest experiences, including visa support and airport transfers.
• Address guest concerns promptly, document special requests, and ensure VIP bookings receive appropriate attention.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality; beginners are welcome with on‑the‑job training.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer service, front desk, or telephone operations.
• Excellent written and spoken English and strong telephone etiquette.
• Organised, disciplined, and able to work effectively under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera v5/Opera Cloud reservation system.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook.
• High‑level telephone handling and sales techniques.
• Ability to use property management systems for accurate data entry.
