Resident Medical Officer, In-Patient Psychiatry Unit

About the role

Fakeeh Health, a healthcare group founded by the founders of Fakeeh Care Group in Saudi Arabia, is looking for an experienced bilingual Resident Medical Officer for its Inpatient Psychiatry Unit in Dubai. The role provides expertise in inpatient care under the supervision of a Consultant or Specialist in Psychiatry, performing assessment and management of patients with an evidence-based approach in line with standards of care and the group's bylaws, policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, treatment planning and multidisciplinary patient care under the supervision of a Consultant or Specialist in Psychiatry
• Carry out clinical duties according to assigned clinical privileges
• Assess patients thoroughly (clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional) and document the assessment in the patient's medical record
• Ensure the plan of care is implemented in a timely manner
• Document daily assessments and the plan of care in daily progress notes

Required profile

• MBBS with MD/DNB or equivalent in Psychiatry
• DHA eligibility or license as a General Practitioner
• At least 5 years of post-specialization experience in a busy hospital setting, in inpatient services
• Proven expertise in inpatient psychiatry in a reputable hospital in the UAE is desired
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Arabic communication skills are an advantage
