RF Microwave Engineer II

About the role

EDGE Group PJSC is looking for an RF Microwave Engineer to join cross-functional teams in designing, developing and testing radar subsystems and building blocks. The role applies RF expertise in circuit design, system integration and performance analysis, and requires strong communication skills and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build RF passive and active circuits for phased array antennas, large RF systems and other RF components.
• Design and test circuits for receivers, transmitters, local oscillators and RF subsystems.
• Simulate circuit and system performance with tools such as AWR Microwave Office, VSS, Ansys, CST and MATLAB.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to complete RF electronics and designs.
• Take part in and guide RF hardware testing for metrics such as VSWR, insertion loss, power and G/T.
• Design chip and wire components for receivers, high-power limiters and transmitters.
• Test and document designs in preparation for production.

Required profile

• 5+ years of practical industry experience in RF engineering.
• Experience defining RF architecture, frequency planning and RF link budget analysis.
• Proven experience in RF front-end design.
• Knowledge of RF components such as LNAs, PAs, mixers, filters, synthesizers and T/R modules.
• Experience testing and debugging with VNA, spectrum analyser and signal generator.

Required skills

• Proficiency in RF simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, CST, AWR and MATLAB.
• Technical documentation and communication skills.
