Rigging Supervisor – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

The Rigging Supervisor will lead all rigging and lifting activities on ADNOC‑related oil and gas sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project requirements. This role reports to the site engineering team and works closely with project managers and HSE personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate rigging and lifting operations, ensuring adherence to ADNOC safety standards and international best practices.
• Select, inspect, and certify rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains, and hoists.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop lifting plans, and verify load calculations and crane capacities.
• Maintain documentation of equipment certifications, daily progress reports, and Permit‑to‑Work compliance.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings, and provide guidance to riggers on safe execution of lifts.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience as a Rigging Supervisor on oil & gas projects, preferably ADNOC contracts.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Required skills

• Lifting Supervisor Certificate approved by ADNOC or a recognized third party.
• TUV/LEEA Certified Rigger Level‑3 or Level‑4.
• OPITO, TUV or ADNOC‑approved rigging and lifting training.
• Proficiency in risk assessment, lifting plan development, and load calculation verification.
