Rolling Stock & Depot Maintenance Lead

About the role

The Rolling Stock & Depot Maintenance Lead will head multiple engineering and maintenance teams responsible for preventive and corrective work on rolling stock, on‑track plant and depot equipment for Keolis MHI in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and allocate resources for daily maintenance activities, including routine inspections, minor repairs, major overhauls and fault investigations.
• Supervise vehicle inspections, wheel re‑profiling, metal‑working machine operations and calibration of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Guide team leaders in testing electromechanical assemblies, installing electrical/electronic parts and maintaining accurate records in a computerized maintenance management system.
• Provide 24‑hour on‑call support for incidents and emergencies, and act as a key instructor for training courses.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of car body, bogies, suspension, propulsion, brakes, batteries, HVAC, train control and monitoring systems.
• Experience supervising line‑maintenance teams servicing rolling stock or depot equipment.
• Degree or higher diploma in electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Use and calibration of electrical, electronic and mechanical test equipment.
• Reading blueprints, schematics and technical orders.
• Operation of wheel lathe and metal‑working machines.
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) usage.
