Safety Inspector

About the role

The Safety Inspector will ensure that all construction sites comply with safety regulations, client requirements, and company policies. This role involves proactive inspection, reporting, and training to maintain a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect sites during the establishment phase and identify required safety equipment before work begins.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with government, ATS, and project‑specific safety plans.
• Develop and monitor safety maintenance schedules for sites and equipment.
• Enforce fire safety regulations and ensure readiness for emergency response.
• Verify that all workers wear appropriate PPE for their tasks.
• Perform periodic safety audits and submit weekly reports to HSE and Project Engineers.
• Prepare accident reports, propose corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.
• Identify unsafe practices, issue non‑conformity reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Lead Tool Box Talks, maintain records, and provide safety and first‑aid training to staff and subcontractors.
• Participate in management and client safety meetings as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Construction Safety Engineering or an equivalent vocational safety qualification.
• 1–3 years of experience as a safety officer in construction, interior fit‑out, or manufacturing environments.
