Sales Assistant - Fashion Retail

About the role

The Sales Assistant works directly with customers to generate sales and ensure an excellent shopping experience. The role covers customer service, checkout operations and store maintenance, and contributes to store presentation under the guidance of the store management team.

Key responsibilities

• Create a positive first impression with an energetic attitude and adherence to the dress code.
• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store and provide current, relevant product information.
• Offer quality service in the fitting rooms and follow up with customers promptly.
• Thank customers sincerely as they leave and invite them to return.
• Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer gift cards and keep the cash wrap clean.
• Capture customer information in the database and try to add on to sales during checkout.
• Maintain a clean, organised environment and carry out housekeeping duties as directed by store management.

Required profile

• High school degree.
• 1-2 years of retail sales experience.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and to stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
