Sales Assistant – IKEA Al Wahda

About the role

Al-Futtaim Retail is hiring a Sales Assistant for IKEA Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi. The Sales Assistant generates sales and delivers a positive customer experience, especially in the market hall area, and carries out operational tasks assigned by the shopkeeper such as arranging products and keeping the sales floor tidy. The role also involves meeting sales targets and contributing to a well-organized store.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain store standards and cleanliness so the environment is sparkling and organized.
• Complete duties assigned by the shopkeeper and follow IKEA policies and procedures.
• Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
• Participate in market hall inventories and attend store meetings and related functions.
• Adhere to the designated work schedule with punctuality and collaborate flexibly with peers and management.
• Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile, give them current relevant information and make a positive first impression.

Required profile

• High school degree.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail sales.
• Ability to lift certain products and stand for at least 8 hours.
• Warm and friendly demeanor consistent with Al-Futtaim and IKEA values.

Required skills

• Effective verbal communication.
• Ability to lift and arrange stock products effectively.
• Strong customer service focus and ability to endure prolonged standing in a busy environment.
