Sales Associate

About the role

The Sales Associate represents the brand by maximising sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience. The role also covers operational duties such as store maintenance and visual presentation standards, as assigned by the store manager or assistant store manager.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, help them choose the right products and convert window shoppers into buyers
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales
• Follow the GUEST selling guideline (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank) and stay updated on the group's brands for suggestive selling
• Keep a presentable appearance, show flexibility for extended hours during sales periods and maintain up-to-date product knowledge
• Display stock neatly according to standard layout norms and VM guidelines, and record inventory inward/outward movements
• Handle the POS and billing counter efficiently, tally the cash till at shift start and end, and issue receipts, refunds and change correctly
• Process payments by cash, credit card, voucher or automatic debit
• Stay vigilant on store security, follow SOPs and loss prevention policies, and keep sales figures confidential

• Presentable and well-groomed at all times
• Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime and extended hours during sales periods
• Up-to-date product knowledge and attention to minimal stock loss
