Sales Engineer - Telecommunications & Digitalization

About the role

MICAS is looking for a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join its team in the UAE. The role centres on developing customer relationships, identifying business opportunities and promoting technical products and services related to telecommunications, cables, digitalization and sustainability. Candidates with relevant sales experience and knowledge of ERP systems and emerging AI trends are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities by engaging with potential customers and promoting technical products and services.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their technical needs and recommending suitable solutions.
• Promote and sell telecommunications products, cables and solutions linked to digitalization, sustainability and modern business technologies.
• Prepare sales proposals, quotations, presentations and technical documentation based on customer requirements and project specifications.
• Coordinate with internal technical, operations and management teams to ensure appropriate solutions, timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct client visits, product presentations and technical discussions to explain product features, benefits and commercial value.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies, including AI-driven developments, to spot sales opportunities.
• Maintain customer records, sales reports and follow-ups using MS Office and, preferably, ERP systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Valid driving licence; having a personal car is preferred for customer visits.
• Previous sales experience in telecommunications, cables, concept selling or technical products is preferred, whether in the UAE or abroad.

Required skills

• Excellent English communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Good computer literacy, including MS Office.
• Exposure to ERP systems and awareness of current AI trends is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet sales targets.
