Sales Executive - Advertising Sales

About the role

Careers International is hiring a Sales Executive in Dubai for a magazine publication. The role centres on generating leads, selling advertising space and building long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential clients, including companies and individuals looking to improve their branding through advertising in the magazine.
• Deliver persuasive sales presentations that explain the value of the publication and its reach to target audiences.
• Work with clients to understand their marketing goals and design tailored advertising solutions that maximise ROI and brand exposure.
• Negotiate advertising rates and terms, secure signed contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Build and maintain client relationships, offering good customer service and spotting upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors and market conditions, and use this to refine sales strategies.
• Prepare regular sales reports covering pipeline, forecasts and revenue projections, and present them to management with recommendations.
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial and design teams to ensure advertising campaigns run smoothly.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of proven sales experience, preferably in advertising sales or the media/PR/publication industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, mass media or a related field preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Strategic thinking, negotiation skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively.
