Sales Governance & Control Senior Officer

About the role

ADIB Group is looking for a Sales Governance & Control Senior Officer in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures that assigned sales channels in Retail Banking follow internal protocols, ethical standards and compliance standards, so that the right risks and controls are in place and executed. It involves monitoring risk, assessing functionality through regular checks, implementing controls to mitigate operational risks and maintaining a strong culture of compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure sales channels follow controlled work streams with due compliance and standards, and monitor agencies involved in sales activity for performance, practices and effectiveness.
• Check and validate process adherence and sales practices, and investigate and address non-compliance or control weaknesses, recommending corrective actions.
• Design policy and practice frameworks aligned to sales strategy, customer experience and regulation standards, and monitor key KRIs and risk and control assessments.
• Work with business and stakeholders to close process and regulatory gaps, and analyze performance trends such as first-pass rates and business quality to suggest workflow improvements.
• Monitor lead management for fairness, duplication and unauthorized access, and investigate customer complaints and staff misconduct ad hoc.
• Create dashboards, process guidelines and documentation, and prepare detailed reports on operational control performance and compliance status for management.
• Collaborate with other departments on business controls, support Sales units with GIA and 2nd LOD recommendations, and follow up on CAP target dates.
• Carry out independent sweep checks in Sales offices for clean desk policies and data handling, and perform other assignments from management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, law, finance or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in retail banking, back-end operations, QA, governance, support, compliance or risk.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, internal controls and regulatory requirements, and good knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations and risks.
• Willingness to travel within the UAE.
