Sales Manager, Europe - Leisure

About the role

Raffles The Palm Dubai, a luxury beach resort on Palm Jumeirah, is looking for a Sales Manager, Europe - Leisure. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Sales / Director of Sales, the role manages and develops leisure accounts across European markets by monitoring production, analysing market trends, spotting new business opportunities and applying targeted sales strategies. It also builds long-term relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, wholesalers and strategic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare the yearly revenue and expense budget and contribute to departmental financial and administrative activities.
• Prepare sales call schedules, call reports and monthly reports, and take part in sales action plans and meetings.
• Work with the sales team on personal sales goals and produce monthly analysis reports.
• Respond to inquiries within 24 hours, set up appointments, make sales calls, telemarketing and site visits, and follow up on lost business.
• Negotiate with customers and send offers and contracts for individual and group business.
• Plan business trips to key source markets and attend international fairs and roadshows.
• Maintain the customer database in OPERA and keep clients informed of hotel developments.
• Assist the credit department with outstanding balances and build relations with regional and global Accor sales offices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales position, preferably at an international 5-star hotel.
• Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Business Administration.
• Fluency in German and/or French, written and spoken, is required; fluency in English and other languages is preferred.
• Has worked in the region and understands the local culture.
• Good understanding of the luxury market and of all hotel departments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of OPERA and Microsoft Office.
• Written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership, problem-solving, organisational planning and ability to meet deadlines.
