Sales Manager - Groups and Events

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a full-time Sales Manager for Groups and Events in Al Mazraa, Wadi Khadija. The position is accountable for proactively seeking and handling sales opportunities, ensuring business is handed over properly and in time for service delivery, and helping lead day-to-day sales activities focused on long-term, value-based customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Work with off-property sales channels so that sales efforts are coordinated and not duplicative, and build relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips and trade shows.
• Develop relationships within the community and with key internal and external stakeholders, and provide accurate turnover to Event Management.
• Take part in sales calls with the sales team to acquire and close business, and handle proposals, contracts and customer correspondence.
• Identify new business to meet personal and location revenue goals, understand the market and competitors, and close the best opportunities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, support the company's service and relationship strategy, and gather guest feedback on product quality and service levels.

Required profile

• A 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major, with 3 years of sales and marketing experience; or a 4-year bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience.
• Experience in sales and marketing or a related professional area.
