About the role
Join Orbitworks as a Satellite Operations Software Engineer and contribute to the development, automation, and operation of satellite programs from design through orbit. This hands‑on role blends software development, systems engineering, and on‑call satellite control.
Key responsibilities
- Execute satellite operations, including on‑call rotation as Satellite Controller/Flight Director.
- Configure tools, procedures, dashboards, and auto‑pilot plans for commissioning and nominal operations.
- Develop automation scripts (preferably in Python) for ground and space‑based operations.
- Validate and verify operational tools and support test campaigns before and during launch.
Required profile
- Strong background in satellite operations and complex systems management.
- Willingness to train as a Satellite Controller/Flight Director and participate in on‑call rotation.
- Proven software development experience with a focus on automation.
- Ability to work across the full hardware/software stack.
