Sea Freight Executive

About the role

A Sea Freight Executive is sought in Dubai to manage and execute end-to-end sea freight operations. The role ensures timely import and export shipments, accurate documentation and smooth customs clearance, working with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage sea freight shipments from origin to destination
• Prepare, review and process import and export documentation
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders and customs authorities
• Monitor shipment schedules, track containers and give regular updates to stakeholders
• Arrange customs clearance and resolve related issues
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs and performance metrics
• Communicate with clients on inquiries, shipment status and solutions
• Work with sales and operations teams to optimise logistics and service levels

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in sea freight operations
• Strong technical knowledge of sea freight processes and documentation
• Experience handling import and export documentation
• Excellent communication, organisational and attention-to-detail skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Customs clearance procedures and regulations
• Freight management systems and MS Office
• Preferred: Incoterms, international trade regulations, CargoWise or similar logistics software, certification in customs procedures or freight forwarding, fluency in English (Arabic an advantage)
