Section Head – Document Control

About the role

The Section Head – Document Control will lead the management of all project documentation for planning, architectural, engineering and authority submissions at AD Ports. The role ensures that documents are properly registered, reviewed, approved, archived and easily retrievable in line with corporate procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Manage document control systems for all planning, architectural, engineering and authority‑related submissions.
• Register, track, issue and archive documents according to AD Ports’ standards.
• Maintain structured filing systems for both digital and hard‑copy records.
• Monitor document workflows, review cycles and approval status.
• Ensure consistent document numbering, revision control and version tracking.
• Coordinate issuance of documents to internal teams, consultants and authorities.
• Prepare document registers and reports on submission and approval status.
• Audit document completeness, accuracy and traceability.
• Train project and consultant teams on document control processes.
• Secure handling of confidential information and compliance with retention policies.
• Lead and evaluate reportees, monitor submission flows and address missing or incorrect documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of experience managing engineering, master‑planning, architectural and authority‑related documents with a multi‑discipline approach.
• At least 5 years of local experience in the United Arab Emirates.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with document control systems.
• Advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
• Ability to manage large volumes of technical documentation and understand document lifecycle management.
