Security Officer – Aviation Facility

About the role

Abu Dhabi Aviation is looking for a Security Officer to help protect its personnel, facilities and assets. The role involves enforcing security procedures, monitoring access, conducting patrols and responding to incidents while ensuring compliance with GCAA regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operations and administration of the Security Department.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve security policies, procedures and operational guidelines.
• Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of facilities, equipment and restricted areas.
• Monitor CCTV and other security equipment, report and respond to suspicious activities.
• Perform security risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
• Control access to premises, ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted zones.
• Investigate incidents, prepare accurate reports and communicate findings to management.
• Monitor employee attendance, visitor management and access‑control compliance.
• Deliver security awareness briefings and training sessions.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and other urgent situations.
• Manage vehicle and pedestrian movement within the site to ensure safety.
• Maintain records of physical security systems and report discrepancies.
• Stay updated on security technologies, practices and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required).
• Minimum three years of experience as a Security Officer or Guard.
• Sound knowledge of security regulations, legal guidelines and public safety practices.
• Experience in the aviation industry is an advantage.
• Certification in Conflict Management or a related field is a plus.

Required skills

• Conflict Management certification (preferred).
