Security Supervisor

About the role

Viya, the UAE's leading golf and hospitality management group, is hiring a Security Supervisor for its Emirates Golf Club (EGC) in Dubai. The role sits in the Security Operations department and reports to Facilities Management. It supervises the security team and controls incident response in line with on-site security and health and safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Customer care: maintain good service between the club and the contracted security provider, handle internal and external queries in line with UAE law, and meet agreed timescales.
• Staff supervision: oversee officers, delegate work and escorts, help compile rosters, and act as an intermediary between management and officers. Manage the shift when the contracted supervisor is absent and train officers on control room tasks and their duties.
• Control room security: manage site keys held in the security control centre, run daily checks of access control, CCTV and fire alarm systems, and follow unlock/lockdown procedures at the start and end of each tour of duty.
• General security: oversee day-to-day security service, identify suspicious activity, liaise with the police when needed and report equipment faults to management.
• Health and safety: assist with emergency procedures (blackouts, floods, bomb threats) and enforce requirements such as fire drills and fire safety.
• Administration: keep the control room office tidy, write weekly reports, incident reports and witness statements, and collect information on building issues and maintenance requests.
• Relationships and self-development: share information with staff, clients and customers, give regular feedback to the line manager, and pursue SMART objectives from the annual appraisal.
