Senior Accountant (2‑month contract)

About the role

Vibes Events, an Abu Dhabi‑based events and experiential company, is seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant on a short‑term contract. You will own the full accounting cycle in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify WPS and non‑WPS payroll, prepare payment files and coordinate with banks.
• Handle banking transactions, fund transfers, online banking, and perform timely bank reconciliations.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, month‑end closing, financial reporting and audit support.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, e‑Invoicing and other regulatory requirements.
• Utilise ERP, payroll platforms and cloud‑based financial tools, leveraging finance automation and AI‑enabled accounting where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CA or ACCA is a plus.
• Strong UAE accounting experience at senior level with knowledge of VAT, Corporate Tax and e‑Invoicing.
• Hands‑on experience in payroll processing, bank reconciliations and full‑cycle AP/AR.
• High analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to work independently with confidentiality.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and cloud‑based financial tools.
• Experience with payroll platforms and finance automation/AI‑enabled accounting tools.
