Senior AI / Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI / Automation Engineer to design, build, and productionise AI‑powered enterprise workflows. This role focuses on robust, real‑world AI solutions rather than chatbots or simple RAG implementations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy production LLM and agentic AI workflows.
• Develop tool‑calling agents that integrate with enterprise APIs and systems.
• Create document extraction, classification, and reasoning pipelines.
• Implement RAG, context management, and structured output handling.
• Integrate AI components into deterministic enterprise processes.
• Establish guardrails, validation rules, confidence thresholds, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls.
• Automate AI evaluation, regression testing, and model routing with cost‑control mechanisms.
• Monitor AI quality, latency, token usage, and failure rates, deciding when to fall back to deterministic software.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with production AI/LLM experience.
• Advanced Python skills and expertise in API/service development.
• Hands‑on experience with RAG, embeddings, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.
• Proven ability to build asynchronous, stateful, multi‑step workflows.
• Deep understanding of testing, observability, and production reliability.
• Experience in LLM evaluation, model selection, and inference economics.
• Track record of taking AI prototypes to reliable production systems.
