Senior Analyst - Compliance, Global Capability Centre

About the role

Ocorian is looking for a Senior Analyst to join its Risk & Compliance team in the UAE office and wider Group. Working closely with the Global Head of Risk & Compliance, GCC and the Senior Risk & Compliance Manager, GCC, you will support compliance, AML and risk management activities, helping ensure regulatory compliance, support business risk assessments and contribute to a strong compliance framework. The role offers exposure to compliance monitoring, AML/CFT processes, risk assessments, governance and regulatory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and compliance reviews of new business applications, including Client Committee submissions and meeting minutes
• Advise the business on adverse media findings and screening matters
• Maintain compliance registers, records and compliance management tools
• Monitor compliance calendars and review PEP applications, coordinating approvals and maintaining the PEP register
• Support the review and enhancement of AML policies, procedures and documentation
• Assist with business risk assessment exercises and risk management initiatives
• Keep compliance documentation on internal systems accurate and up to date
• Support compliance and AML training and assist with regulatory, risk and compliance projects across the Group
• Liaise with stakeholders to promote compliance awareness and improve compliance processes and governance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Law and Management, Finance with Law or another relevant discipline
• A professional qualification in Compliance, AML/CFT, Risk Management, Governance or a related field is advantageous
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, Risk or a related financial services environment
• Strong knowledge of international AML/CFT regulations, principles and frameworks

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
• Analytical, investigative and methodical approach with strong organisational and time management skills
