Senior Android Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to own a fast‑growing consumer mobile product used by students worldwide. Based in the United Arab Emirates, you will lead end‑to‑end Android development, shaping architecture, performance, releases, and long‑term technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a high‑quality Android application from architecture to production releases.
• Define and communicate the technical vision for mobile while upholding engineering standards.
• Mentor and support existing mobile engineers, fostering growth and craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with product, growth, and engineering leaders to prioritize and deliver features that drive acquisition, onboarding, and retention.
• Implement A/B testing, instrumentation, and data‑driven iteration to continuously improve the product.
• Manage the Google Play release process, including versioning, store optimization, crash monitoring, and performance tracking.
• Diagnose complex issues and proactively enhance stability and performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing native Android applications.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and a track record of shipping consumer‑focused apps.
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose and traditional Android Views.
• Deep understanding of Android frameworks, architecture patterns, and state‑management techniques.
• Experience working in a product‑led growth environment with rapid experimentation.
