Senior Clinical Application Analyst – Cerner EHR

About the role

The Senior Clinical Application Analyst will lead the implementation, configuration and ongoing optimization of Cerner electronic health record (EHR) applications at Danat Al Emarat, a leading women’s and children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi. Working closely with clinical and IT teams, the analyst ensures that Cerner solutions support safe, efficient and patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, test and deploy Cerner modules such as CPOE, Mpages, Carenet, EKM/Discern rules, Surginet and Anesthesia to match clinical workflows.
• Perform system testing, validation and documentation to guarantee accuracy and performance.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support to end‑users, resolving complex technical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with clinicians and IT staff to identify workflow improvements and drive system enhancements.
• Develop and deliver training sessions, user guides and support materials for clinical personnel.
• Act as a technical resource for Cerner‑related projects, upgrades and integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience with Cerner Millennium (PowerChart, Carenet, CPOE).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Cerner certification is preferred.
