Senior Construction Engineer - Civil (Offshore)

About the role

Penspen is hiring a Senior Construction Engineer (Civil) in Abu Dhabi. The role plans, supervises, coordinates and technically controls civil and structural construction on offshore platforms, jackets, offshore substations or associated facilities, ensuring compliance with company, client and regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on offshore oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise offshore civil construction according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedule
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved procedures and HSE requirements
• Plan daily and weekly activities and allocate manpower, equipment, materials and work fronts
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, piping, E&I, commissioning, marine and operations teams
• Monitor productivity and identify constraints affecting progress
• Review IFC drawings, civil and structural calculations, specifications and construction details

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
• 15+ years of experience in the relevant discipline within oil and gas projects
• Proven experience in offshore projects (platforms, FPSO, offshore construction or drilling support)
• Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
• Familiarity with offshore safety regulations and permit systems
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
