Senior Construction Manager (Finishing)

About the role

Nova International General Contracting, a newly established UAE-based general contractor specializing in branded residences, is looking for a Senior Construction Manager with extensive experience delivering in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate has 18+ years of progressive experience leading complex, premium developments, with strong leadership, deep technical expertise and a proven track record of managing prestigious projects to international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full construction lifecycle of luxury developments, from mobilization to handover.
• Develop and oversee detailed project plans, schedules and resource strategies aligned with premium project standards.
• Ensure flawless delivery of high-end finishes, bespoke designs and luxury specifications.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, monitoring progress, productivity and workmanship against luxury benchmarks.
• Proactively identify risks and implement timely corrective measures; enforce HSE policies, risk assessments and method statements.
• Act as primary liaison for high-profile clients, consultants, designers and contractors, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Manage project budgets with a focus on value engineering, review subcontractor performance and certify works for payment.
• Support resolution of contractual, commercial and procurement matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; Master's degree, PMP or equivalent advanced certifications highly desirable.
• 18+ years of progressive experience in construction project execution.
• Proven experience delivering luxury, high-end or premium projects such as luxury villas, palaces, high-end residential towers or bespoke developments.
• At least 8 years in a senior managerial role overseeing large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong track record of delivering projects in the UAE or GCC region.
• Deep expertise in construction methodologies, premium finishes and luxury project execution.
• Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and local authority requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Exceptional leadership, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, including with high-profile clients.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple complex priorities.
