Senior Construction Supervisor – Structural

About the role

The Senior Construction Supervisor – Structural will lead and coordinate structural construction activities on Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day structural works including steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, buildings and foundations.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment and productivity against the approved schedule.
• Coordinate structural interfaces with civil, piping, mechanical, E&I and engineering teams.
• Review drawings for constructability, clashes and site constraints.
• Oversee steel erection, alignment, bolting, welding, grouting, modifications and reinstatement.
• Work with QA/QC on inspections, RFIs, punch‑list clearance, NCR resolution and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, PTW procedures, lifting plans and working‑at‑height standards.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical construction (12 years for UAE nationals).
• Minimum 5 years in a similar supervisory role on major oil & gas or marine construction projects.
• Experience in the GCC region.

Required skills

• Structural steel erection and erection sequencing.
• Welding, bolting and grouting techniques.
• Construction inspection, ITPs and QA/QC processes.
• HSE compliance, PTW procedures and lifting plan management.
